WHat makes SING THE WORD valuable to

 you?

Proverbs 27:2 tells us: "Let another man praise thee, and not thine own mouth".    In light of this counsel, please read what a member of the New York Philharmonic Orchestra has to say about Sing The Word®:

"The Heavens Declare", from the very musical Harrow family has very quickly become one of my favorite CD's from any genre. And I have to say that being a member of the NY Philharmonic, I am very particular about what I listen to when I am not performing myself. The musical and production quality alone should place this CD at the top of Billboard's charts and were it not for the fact that it is devised for a very different purpose and audience, I believe it would be. And though I could recommend this CD for purely musical reasons alone, the most compelling quality is how fully God's anointing permeates it. I have found it to be a real help in not only retaining the scripture verses used in the songs, but also as a faith builder and strengthener in times of trial. I also love the fact that I can sing the songs with my three year old and can actually look forward to extended car travels with the CD in the car! I greatly look forward to future musical and spiritual endeavors from the Harrow family. I really can't stress enough how much we all have enjoyed this CD and the others that you have made."

New York Philharmonic Orchestra

Roger has said so much for us.  Now, let me quickly explain the many benefits you will receive from Sing The Word®:

It is a well known fact that music causes memorization to take place naturally and easily.  But even more than this, what if I were to tell you that our music allows you to experience what Psalm 1 says about a righteous man: 'in the law of the Lord, he meditates day and night'.  To meditate means to speak to oneself, to "groan", to utter, while musing over something.  This was an ancient practice among the Hebrews, and we would do well to learn from it.  Meditating on the Word is more than an intellectual exercise. You experience the Scripture in a personal way as you speak it aloud and "chew" on it.

We are convinced that learning Scripture as you sing it aloud is an incredibly effective way to meditate on the Word.

And we believe children (and their parents) should be practicing what the Bible commands us to do!

WHAT IF you not only speak the Word aloud to yourself, but SING it aloud with music that paints a "picture in sound" of the very words you are singing?  Music which fits the words and enhances your understanding and experience of the Scripture!  Remember that David himself composed psalms to be sung, and accompanied by a variety of  instruments.

WHAT IF the musical accompaniment uses a glorious array of instruments and styles from around the world to broaden your perspective of God's kingdom?

WHAT IF the music skillfully portrays the Scriptures so that you can not only memorize the words easily, but feel the impact of the words as you sing?

THAT'S NOT ALL!

WHAT IF the music develops a greater artistic sensitivity in your child (and you, for that matter) because it employs authentic classical, folk, ethnic and jazz influences?  You see, at the very same time your child and you are memorizing and meditating on the Word of God, you are also enhancing and developing  your aesthetic sensibilities for music!  Which one of us doesn't desire our children to mature in this area?  Shouldn't their listening choices grow beyond the standard fare inundating the air waves?  Of course, we don't allow our kids to eat French fries for every meal - yet, we may be unknowingly feeding them only musical fast food!  It's much better to offer them a balanced musical diet.

Does this mean our music is dull?  Far from it!  In fact, be prepared for your young ones to jump and dance joyfully to many of our songs. And beware, you will probably join them!

THAT'S NOT ALL!

WHAT IF you as a family could do something enjoyable that would bring you together in a unique way? The plain truth is that singing together brings you together. In God's eternal wisdom, He has caused His people to sing together for centuries in their gatherings. Singing the Word of God together brings life into your souls and into your homes!
